JOSEPHINE

Writer-director Beth de Araújo (SOFT & QUIET) crafts a tense and deeply empathetic portrait of childhood innocence confronted by violence, placing audiences within Josephine’s increasingly unsettled perspective. Anchored by a remarkable performance from newcomer Mason Reeves, JOSEPHINE explores how trauma reverberates through a family and how children process a world they suddenly understand to be dangerous. A breakout sensation at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, the film won both the U.S. Dramatic Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award.
